Built on quality, not shortcuts

Vision Homes Ltd are a Napier based locally owned and independent building company established in 1994 by Alan Dick and Peter Roughan to provide well built quality homes throughout Hawke's Bay using trade qualified builders. We are Licensed Building Practitioners and members of The Certified Builders Association of New Zealand. All our homes are backed with a Halo 10-Year Residential Guarantee.

From the start of the project we will manage all aspects of the build and ensure you understand each step and guide you along with your decisions. We will allocate one builder to your build who remains with you for the entire job. We offer a free design and build service or drawings may be chosen from our range of plans and adapted to suit your own requirements.

With more than 26 years experience and over 450 homes completed, Vision Homes are the building specialists. We have a great team of qualified licenced builders and subtrades who have the skills and expertise to complete your home within budget and on time.

What we do

Design, build, and deliver

We offer a free design and build service — from your first conversation through to keys in hand. Bring us your ideas or choose from our established range of plans, and we'll adapt them to your section and budget.

Every project is assigned a single builder who stays with you from foundation to handover. No handoffs, no confusion. You deal with the same person throughout, and they know your build inside out.

We manage all consenting, subtrades, and scheduling, so you can focus on the decisions that matter. Our job is to make the process straightforward and the outcome exactly what you had in mind.

Peter co-founded Vision Homes in 1994 with a straightforward aim: build well and look after people. Thirty years on, that hasn't changed. He has been hands-on in the Hawke's Bay residential market his entire career and brings a builder's eye to every project the company takes on.

Alan founded Vision Homes alongside Peter with a focus on trade-qualified workmanship and honest client relationships. He has overseen hundreds of builds across the region and remains closely involved in the business, making sure every home that leaves the Vision Homes team reflects the standard they set from day one.
